What is The Perfect Find about on Netflix?

The next book coming to life on screen is The Perfect Find by author Tia Williams! The novel was released in 2016. The Netflix movie of the same name makes its debut on Friday, June 23, 2023. What is the film about?

The romantic comedy stars Gabrielle Union as Jenna, Keith Powers as Eric, and Gina Torres as Darcy. Rounding out the cast are Aisha Hinds, Alani La La Anthony, Janet Hubert, and Lucifer and The Night Agent actor D.B. Woodside.

The leading actress, Union, takes on producing duties alongside Glendon Palmer, Tommy Oliver, and Codie Elaine Oliver. Jeff Morrone serves as an executive producer. The production was written by Leigh Davenport and directed by Numa Perrier.

The Perfect Find follows Union’s character, Jenna. After reaching a high-profile career, she gets fired while also going through a “messy public breakup.” It seems like she’s ready for a comeback and will be able to do so. That is until a “much younger” coworker comes into the picture. A.k.a Eric (Powers). A.k.a her new boss’ son. With this inner conflict, Jenna will have to decide whether she’s willing to risk her career on a secret romance, or if what she and Eric have is worth more than her career.
