The 61-year-old remembers her children calling her up after it came out. She told Interview magazine that they didn’t exactly give her their approval of the funny clip.

“It’s funny, my son just called me this morning and he’s in New York staying at a hotel that’s right across the street from Katz’s Deli,” she said. This is where it was filmed on set.

But at the time, her daughter had an awkward reaction.

“My daughter was here and everybody was on speaker, and they were like, ‘Mom, this is a very unique embarrassment'”.

She even said the deli has an arrow pointing down to the exact table where they shot that scene, even 30 years later.

The sign reads: “Where Harry met Sally… hope you have what she had! Enjoy!”

‘I’ll have what she’s having’

In the famous scene, we see the two lead stars dining together at the deli. Meg’s Sally is opposite Billy’s Harry, who claims women can’t fake climax during sex, so Sally proves him wrong in front of a busy diner.

It doesn’t go down well with Harry, who claimed no women he had been with ever faked one. After the performance, a woman opposite tells the waiter, “I’ll have what she’s having”.

Meg Ryan admits that they shot the scene “over and over again”. A true artist.

‘I avoided it for years’

Her son, Jack Quaid, who stars in TV hit The Boys, admitted he didn’t watch the rom-com for years.

The 31-year-old explained to InStyle he avoided the movie for a long time until he had to film a flick himself, Plus One.

He said: “I watched the movie, because I’m doing a rom-com, I have to watch the rom-com, and the movie’s so much more than that scene.”

The star admitted he was “so unbelievably proud” of his mom, he even called her afterward.

He continued: “I called her sobbing, like, ‘I’m so proud of you!’ and she’s like, ‘Ah, cool!’ She was excited I’d seen it, and then I came into rehearsal that day still sobbing and it was this weird moment where I’m like, ‘Guys, I’m just so proud of my mom!”
