Borgen: Power and Glory season 2 updates: Is another season happening?

The newest season of the acclaimed Danish political drama Borgen has made its way to Netflix to the delight of fans, and already people are speculating about Borgen: Power and Glory season 2.

The series Borgen was a massive hit with fans, and all three seasons are an enthralling, slow-burn thrill ride that fans of captivating political dramas will not want to miss. The Danish series changed things up this time around and released its next chapter as a separate series under the title Borgen: Power and Glory.

Sidse Babett Knudsen, who fans will recognize from Westworld and 2016’s Inferno, is back as Brigette Nyborg, but this time she is the newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs. After watching her efforts against climate change and superpowers battling it out for control of the Arctic, it’s no surprise everyone wants to see what happens next.

The standalone continuation of the Borgen series has received favorable reviews, with Vanity Fair calling it a “rare necessary TV Revival.” After enjoying Borgen season 4, many people are sure to be curious about the status of Borgen season 5 or Borgen: Power and Glory season 2.

There are no reports, rumors, or official news regarding any kind of renewal status for Borgen: Power and Glory, and it may be a bit of time before anything comes to light about another installment. Netflix doesn’t usually rush putting out another season of its scripted affairs, and after a significant amount of time passes where a proper assessment regarding the demand of the series with subscribers can be determined, some new info about the next chapter could possibly arrive.

Luckily fans have the entirety of the fourth iteration, Borgen: Power and Glory and as well as three seasons of the original ready to stream now on Netflix until more news comes out about the fifth season in the popular Danish franchise.

So far, there hasn’t been any announcement about the series getting the ax, and Borgen season 5 could very well happen.
